As an impressionable teen ager, being called upon by Ethel to babysit, help with laundry or washing dishes was always eye opening. Who was this tall woman with an infectious laugh? How did she cope with all these kids and that dog? How does she transform herself after a long and busy day to the bell of the ball on Don's arm for those social events? Ethel modelled from her generation to the next generation of women that anything is possible if you put your mind to it and stick to the knitting!
